Christmas 2008- Oh, it's been great!

It's official. We are really truly spoiled rotten! Tim & I are blessed to be surrounded by so much family & more family! We love spending time with everyone!

Christmas Eve found us with Tim's family for the tradition of stuffing yourself with a muy delicioso Mexican meal, and then having all the kids (and Clint) re-enacting the nativity. They were so cute!

Clint gave us a great gift- asking Denise to be his wife (and thus part of this crazy family- Sorry Denise- this is the small print! We're all included!!!! Woo Hoo!!!). We are excited for the both of you! They will be getting hitched this May. -And yes, they are actually wearing a sweater build for two. They got a well deserved prize in the "Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest..."

And this adorable little guy, Charlie, joined our family just a few days before Christmas! Congrats Mark & Amy! He is so snuggly and sweet! (Oh, and this makes 13- yes thirteen, family birthdays between the last week of November and the middle of January. JUST FAMILY! That doesn't include my BFF Tanya, or her daughter! No wonder I'm stressed out by the time Christmas comes!)

Christmas Morning was so fun!

Megan & Lily got a Barbie House, complete with furniture made by the one and only, ME! Okay- overachiever, but I was having too much fun! Barbie has some funkadelic style- pink fringe & faux fur, what else do you need?

Tim & Alec got Nerf Dart Tag, and you'd better watch out if you come to our house! The pajamas were even better to wear, because the darts stuck wherever they hit you!

We then had Christmas Brunch with my side of the family. Ooh, pancakes, sausage, eggs, and all the chocolate appetizers, -Boy, oh boy, I feel a New Year's Resolution coming on...

After brunch we had American Idol, Wii style!!! That was so much fun!!! We had everyone rocking! My song choice was Staying Alive. Tim's choice was Painted Black. Woo Baby! The funniest part was my dad. He had to be personally invited (or forced, depending how you look at it...) and ended up winning the competition! Now that's what I call setting a good example for your children. Way to go Dad!

Megan gave us her own little gift. She's A Walker!!! A few days before Christmas she finally decided that walking was a beneficial way to get around. I love watching her unsteady gait. I think she is the cutest little thing!

Four Years Old!

Lily has been so excited for her birthday! She's only asked me about it a few times EVERYDAY for a couple of weeks...

So what do you give a girl that loves pink, purple and
"magic" colors? You guessed it! Princess Dolls!!!
I don't think it's possible to have too many princesses...
Alec & Megan thought it was great, too! What fun kids.

Lily wanted the pink & purple castle cake.
Of course she got her way.

Check out that smile! Megan thought it was a great day! I can't believe her middle teeth haven't come in yet. Her fangs just keep getting bigger and bigger... I love it!

Dear Shamu, We Miss You!

Tim had a big pharmacy convention in Orlando.
WooHoo! We're tagging along, too!!!
Tim flew out first, and then the rest of us came out a few days later. What was I thinking, voluntarily planning on a almost five hour flight by myself with three kids! Alec & Lily I knew would be fine. It's the little Megan that concerned me. I knew I was in for it when I couldn't even make it through airport security without incident.
...Stressed... trying to get all the carry-ons, cameras, bottles & sippy cups in the dirty gray tubs to push through the scanners... then looking up to see a familiar little pink outfit crawling away from me all by herself towards the metal detectors...MEGAN!!
Yes, I felt like Mother Of The Year watching my baby crawling away at the airport. But somehow we made it. Megan was super wiggly and wanted to see everything, but as we were about to get off the plane in Orlando, the people behind me told me what "Good little travelers" I had. Whew. One day down.
We decided to forego Disneyworld this trip and try out Seaworld. What a great time!!! We spent two days there and loved it! I was very impressed with the shows and rides.

Notice that we were actually wearing our jackets. It was kindof cold for a couple of days. It was in the mid 60's. Then we came home to a high temperature of 26 degrees. BRRRRRRRR!
Yes, Shamu. We REALLY do miss you...

They had the Polar Express up by the penguins and polar bears. So Cool! Then we walked down the tunnel and saw SANTA!!!
We are truly spoiled rotten.
Megan was the funniest baby on this trip! She was so excited to see so many people! We rode the trolleys from our hotel to Seaworld, and Megan would smile her huge vampire grin and frantically wave, and everyone would be putty in her hands. They just couldn't resist her! We had great conversations with people from Scottland, England, Brazil, and all over because of my Little Miss Congeniality Megan. She was great.

*Sigh. Back to reality. Back to cooking and cleaning and finishing Christmas shopping.
"I'll be in a hotel in Orlado for Christmas... If only in my dreams..."

My Family

I don't know about you all, but around here,
Thanksgiving + Family= Cuckoo

My brothers and sisters. Chan, Me (don't ask me why I'm standing like that, there's no good explanation...) Matt, Adam & Candi with her amazing skills. This picture says so much!! I don't know where I'd be without my family, but it clearly would be boring in comparison! Stephanie, we missed you & your family in this crazy mix. We can't wait to see you again!

I know I'm really slow in posting anything Thanksgivingish, but like I said, it's been cuckoo.
